Engineers at CheQ are builders at heart. They design and scale the platforms, services and products that power millions of credit interactions every month. From building resilient backend systems and intelligent microservices to enhancing customer experiences, they solve complex problems with simplicity and speed.

They own the journey from idea to production, partnering closely with Product, Design and Business teams to shape solutions, challenge assumptions and make thoughtful trade-offs. Every line of code is written with one goal in mind : creating reliable, scalable products that help customers make smarter financial decisions.

What youll be doing :

As a Senior Software Engineer (AI & ML) you will :

- Architect, design, test, implement, deploy, monitor and maintain end-to-end AIML services (Own complete modules/features end-to-end). You build it, you own it.

- Work with people from other teams and departments on a day to day basis to ensure efficient project execution with a focus on delivering value to our members.

- Regularly align your teams vision and roadmap with the target architecture within your domain and to ensure the success of complex multi domain initiatives.

- Integrate already trained ML and GenAI models (preferably GCP) in services.

What youll need :

- Overall 5+ years experience in ML engineering.

- Dedicated 2+ years of proven work experience as a AI/ML/LLM Engineer.

- Understanding of AIML & Gen AI software engineering fundamentals (LLM, prompts, context, inference, etc.).

- Hands-on experience with Python libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, Langchain/LLamaIndex etc.

- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, Keras, being proficient in Python.

- Hands-on experience with frameworks such as Django or FastAPI or Flask.

- Hands-on experience with MySQL, MongoDB, Redis and BigQuery (or equivalents).

- Extensive experience integrating with or creating AI/ML/LLM based modules.

- Experience with creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines - we use GitHub Actions.

- Experience with event-driven architectures like Kafka, RabbitMq or equivalents.

- Deep knowledge about :

1. LLMs

2. Vector stores/databases

3. Prompt/Context Engineering

4. Embeddings and their implementations

5. KV Caching

- Experience with GCP/AWS services.

- Curious about and motivated by the future trends in data, AI/ML, analytics, and digital experience.
