Role : Chapter Lead Data Scientist
Job Purpose :
The role is part of the European Data & AI Hub and is critical in operationalizing the strategy of standardized and scalable data foundations across the region and enterprise. The role holder will work with colleagues across globe as part of a team driving Research & Development activities within the Advanced Analytics organization by identifying and developing new analytics opportunities for the enterprise across various functions.
The ideal candidate should deliver analytical solutions that are both theoretically sound and capable of creating immediate business value. This will be achieved by building strong relationships and collaborating with members of the broader data organization, including Insight Enablement, Data Management, Global Analytics, and various programs across central, regional, and Operating Company (OpCo) structures.
The role holder will partner closely with Data Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, and Product Managers who play a crucial role in the development and delivery of analytics products at scale.
Key Responsibilities :
- Responsible for R&D within the Advanced Analytics organization for a specific product across a range of products or functions.
- Apply software engineering best practices (CI/CD and unit testing) to ensure the reliability and robustness of data science solutions.
- Develop predictive models and standardized value-measurement techniques (e.g., A/B testing) to solve complex business problems such as time-series forecasting and churn prediction.
- Participate in scrums and deliver all objectives within a defined scope, including defining scope and priorities where necessary.
- Coordinate scrums and ensure team members have clearly defined scope and objectives.
- Manage the portfolio of Advanced Analytics prototype products (pilots) to identify the next high-value product for the client.
- Build and manage relationships with broader team stakeholders to ensure strong collaboration and alignment.
- Continue self-development and research into best-in-class analytical approaches.
- Manage, mentor, and build capabilities of Junior/Senior Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers.

Qualifications :
- MSc/PhD in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- (Equivalent work experience accepted)
- 5+ years in a pure analytical/science role
Experience & Skills Required :
Must Have :
- Proven track record of successful data analysis projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong breadth and depth in Data Science and Machine Learning
- Ability to build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the business
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and deliverables effectively
- Strong stakeholder communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Knowledge of industry trends and commitment to staying updated on new technologies
- Strong understanding of Machine Learning, Statistics, and related fields
- Fluent in Python with strong knowledge of Pandas and Scikit-learn
Nice to Have :
- Experience with Azure development environment
- Experience working with large development teams using CI/CD
