About the Role:

We at Rupyy by CarDekho Group build digital lending products used daily by millions of people and are India's best, completely paperless, digital lending platform. CarDekho is looking for an experienced AI Native - Software Development Engineer - II to help build the next-gen, state-of-the-art digital lending platform. We are looking for strong process-driven technologists who are passionate to solve large-scale complex software engineering problems in a repeatable, scalable, and maintainable way.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- As an AI-Native SDE II, you will own the entire product lifecycle from initial architecture to final deployment.

- Your primary daily workflow will revolve around agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) for automated code generation, AI-assisted debugging, and rapid prototyping.

- Develop and ship highly available and scalable back-end, front-end, and database software components.

- Grow and mentor software engineers and work with them to identify, design, prototype, and evaluate great product features.

- Extensively write high-quality code using a maintainable, testable, and collaborative agile process.

- Deep dive into Rupyy's world-class software systems and technologies, and work side by side with product and design teams.

- Implement critical components and help define the architectural vision, collaborating with partner teams across the organization and mentoring and developing junior engineers.

- Develop automated tests and deliver high-quality code to production within a short development cycle in a continuous integration and delivery environment.

- Propose, design, and build innovative tools and frameworks for use by engineering teams at Rupyy.

- Utilize agentic AI tools and workflows as a primary driver for code generation, complex debugging, and drafting system architectures.

Skills:

- BTech/MTech in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

- 3+ years of experience in building cloud software services and systems for web-scale products.

- Hands-on and deep experience building applications and expert-level proficiency in modern programming languages like TypeScript/JavaScript, NodeJS.

- Database skills with SQL (MySQL & Postgres) and NoSQL (MongoDB or similar), data pipelines with Kafka, RedShift etc, CI/CD development.

- Hands-on and deep experience building frontend applications using technology like ReactJS, NextJS & ReactNative.

- Experience mentoring and training the engineering team members on complex technical issues.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of stakeholders.

- Proven experience in agentic workflows, AI-assisted development, and building or integrating LLM-powered applications.

- Hands-on experience with Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Codex or similar AI coding tools.
