The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing, delivering, and maintaining sophisticated dashboard and analytics solutions utilizing the Microsoft Power BI ecosystem and related Azure data services.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and Development : Lead the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of dashboards and analytics solutions using Microsoft Power BI.

- Data Modeling and Transformation : Develop and optimize data models within Power BI, utilizing advanced features like Power Query (M language), DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), and potentially MDX (Multidimensional Expressions) for complex data manipulation and calculations.

- Data Warehousing & BI : Apply strong Business Intelligence experience in a data warehouse environment, understanding ETL/ELT processes, dimensional modeling, and data governance best practices.

- Azure BI Services : Work hands-on with Microsoft Azure Platform Skills, including leveraging services like Azure Databricks (ADB) for large-scale data processing and transformation.

- Analytical Models : Develop and manage Tabular models within Azure Analysis Services (AAS) or SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) to support enterprise-level reporting and analytical needs.

- Database Management : Author, diagnose, and optimize SQL Server objects (tables, views, stored procedures) and write/tune complex T-SQL queries.

- API Integration : Understand and integrate data from various sources, including experience with REST Services and interpreting API documentation.

- Deployment and Maintenance : Manage the deployment, security, and ongoing maintenance of Power BI assets and underlying Azure data infrastructure.

- Collaboration : Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver insights that drive business value.

Required Technical Skills and Experience :

- Power BI Expertise : Proven experience in building and delivering production-ready dashboards and analytical reports using Microsoft Power BI.

- Advanced Data Languages : Expert-level proficiency in writing complex Power Query (M language), DAX, and practical experience with MDX.

- SQL Server & T-SQL : Extensive experience authoring, diagnosing, and altering SQL Server objects and optimizing T-SQL queries for performance.

- Azure BI Platform : Hands-on experience with the Microsoft Azure Platform, including :

1. Windows Azure (general platform knowledge).

2. Azure Analysis Services (AAS) or SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), particularly with Tabular models.

3. Azure Databricks (ADB).

- Business Intelligence Fundamentals : Strong foundational Business Intelligence experience in a data warehouse environment, including concepts like schema design, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data quality.

- API/REST Services : Good working knowledge of REST Services, including consuming APIs and understanding API documentation for data integration.

Desired Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

- Microsoft Certification in Data/BI, such as the Power BI Data Analyst or Azure Data Engineer track.

- Experience with other components of the Azure data stack (e.g., Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory).

- Familiarity with source control tools (e.g., Git).
