Capitalmind Asset Management - Senior Backend Developer - Python/Java

As one of our early engineering hires, you will play a key role in shaping our technology stack and infrastructure.

You will work closely with investment, operations, and compliance teams to build tools and systems critical to our workflows.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.

- 4-8 years of experience in Backend software development.

- Proficiency in at least one backend programming language: Python, Java (experience in multiple is a plus).

- Working knowledge of HTML & JavaScript is desirable

- Hands-on experience with AWS services is desired.

- Familiarity with REST APIs, data lake, pipelines, workflows, asynchronous processing, and distributed systems.

- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices.

- A product mindset - willing to understand and support real business needs.

- Exposure to finance, trading systems, or data platforms is a desired but not required.

Key Roles and Responsibilities :

- Design and build robust, scalable backend systems to support internal operations and client-facing applications.

- Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS, including services like EC2, K8S, Lambda, S3, RDS, Argo CD, CloudWatch, and IAM.

- Integrate third-party vendors for data feeds, and operational tooling.

- Set up deployment pipelines and automate infrastructure using tools like Terraform.

- Ensure security, logging, and observability best practices are embedded in systems from day one
