Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced MQTT Architect with 12 - 18 years of experience in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance IoT integration solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in MQTT broker and cluster architecture, MQTT v3/v5, IoT integration, networking, cloud platforms, event streaming, security, and edge protocols.

The candidate will be responsible for translating high-level architecture concepts into practical implementation designs and driving the development of robust MQTT-based solutions for OT/IoT and Industry 4.0 environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and architect scalable, highly available, and secure MQTT-based solutions for IoT and enterprise integration.

- Provide strong technical expertise in MQTT broker and cluster architecture, including publisher, subscriber, applications, IoT devices, and data integration components.

- Design and implement solutions using MQTT versions 3.x and 5.

- Work hands-on with MQTT broker products such as HiveMQ and EMQX.

- Define MQTT architecture, communication patterns, topic structures, QoS strategies, authentication, authorization, and security mechanisms.

- Design MQTT solutions for real-time IoT data ingestion, device communication, and event-driven integration.

- Enable integration between MQTT platforms and IoT/OT systems, enterprise applications, and cloud services.

- Design and implement integrations with event-streaming platforms such as Kafka and Azure Event Hub.

- Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and other cloud environments to build scalable IoT solutions.

- Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, scalability, and performance of MQTT broker clusters and associated integrations.

- Develop integration strategies across devices, edge systems, MQTT brokers, applications, and data platforms.

- Collaborate with networking and security teams to define secure communication and network architecture.

- Address security and encryption requirements across MQTT and IoT environments.

- Analyze and troubleshoot connectivity, networking, protocol, performance, and integration issues.

- Provide technical leadership in translating high-level architecture designs into detailed implementation solutions.

- Work with engineering teams to establish architecture standards, development practices, and implementation guidelines.

- Support the integration of OT and IoT systems with enterprise and cloud platforms.

- Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, protocols, and architectural approaches for IoT use cases.

- Contribute to Industry 4.0 initiatives and connected-device transformation programs.

Required Technical Skills :

- Strong knowledge of MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport).

- In-depth knowledge of MQTT v3 and MQTT v5.

- Hands-on experience with MQTT brokers such as HiveMQ and EMQX.

- Strong understanding of MQTT broker and cluster concepts.

- Experience implementing MQTT for IoT-based integration.

- Strong understanding of integration architecture and enterprise integration concepts.

- Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and connectivity.

- Familiarity with event-streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka and Azure Event Hubs.

- Understanding of cloud concepts and cloud-based architectures, preferably AWS/Azure.

- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python and JavaScript.

- Strong understanding of security, authentication, authorization, and encryption.

- Knowledge of OT and IoT systems and their integration requirements.

- Understanding of Industry 4.0 standards and architectures.

- Knowledge of low-level communication protocols and edge/network protocols.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience designing enterprise-grade IoT and MQTT platforms.

- Experience with MQTT cluster scalability and high-availability architectures.

- Knowledge of MQTT security mechanisms, including TLS/SSL, authentication, authorization, and certificate-based security.

- Experience integrating MQTT with Kafka, Azure Event Hub, cloud platforms, and downstream applications.

- Understanding of edge computing and edge-to-cloud architectures.

- Experience working with industrial/OT environments and connected devices.

- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and edge technologies.

- Experience with performance tuning and capacity planning for distributed IoT platforms.

- Strong understanding of API and event-driven integration patterns.

- They should be comfortable working at both the architecture and implementation levels, with hands-on experience in MQTT brokers such as HiveMQ or EMQX.

- Strong knowledge of MQTT v3/v5, IoT/OT integration, Kafka/Azure Event Hub, cloud platforms, security, networking, scripting, and edge protocols is essential.

- The candidate should also be capable of providing technical leadership and designing reliable solutions aligned with Industry 4.0 requirements.
