Role Overview :

As an Ab Initio Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex data integration solutions that drive critical business intelligence for our global clients. You will collaborate closely with data architects, business analysts, and project stakeholders to translate technical requirements into scalable ETL processes. Your work will directly influence the efficiency of data pipelines, ensuring high-quality data availability for decision-making and operational excellence across large-scale enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and implement robust ETL workflows using Ab Initio to support large-scale data warehousing initiatives for enterprise clients.

- Utilize advanced Meta Programming techniques to build reusable, modular components that streamline development cycles and improve code maintainability.

- Optimize complex SQL queries and database interactions to ensure high performance and data integrity across distributed systems.

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues by performing root cause analysis, ensuring minimal downtime for mission-critical data pipelines.

- Partner with cross-functional teams to refine technical specifications and align data solutions with evolving business requirements.

- Mentor junior team members on best practices in data engineering, code reviews, and performance tuning to foster a culture of technical excellence.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in Ab Initio development, including the ability to design complex graphs and utilize standard components effectively.

- Proficiency in Meta Programming to automate and standardize development tasks within the Ab Initio environment.

- Strong command of Data Warehousing concepts, including star schema, snowflake schema, and dimensional modeling.

- Advanced SQL skills with the ability to write, debug, and optimize complex queries for various database platforms.

- Proven ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and work effectively within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

- Minimum of 4 - 12 years of relevant experience in data engineering and ETL development.

- Ability to adapt to a hybrid work model across our Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, or Pune locations, maintaining high productivity and engagement.
