About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced CAD Developer (IP-Regression) to join our semiconductor design automation team. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in Python programming, Unix/Linux, Shell scripting, and Object-Oriented Programming, along with exposure to Semiconductor CAD/EDA tool development.

As a CAD Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting IP Regression infrastructure and design automation tools that enhance engineering productivity and improve design quality. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and customers to build scalable, high-quality CAD solutions for complex VLSI design environments. Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and maintain IP-Regression infrastructure tools used across semiconductor design projects.

- Develop scalable and reusable software solutions using Python in Unix/Linux environments.

- Understand VLSI CAD methodologies and automate various design and verification workflows.

- Translate customer and project requirements into robust software solutions.

- Develop, enhance, and maintain automation scripts for regression execution and reporting.

- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to CAD infrastructure and regression environments.

- Work on customer-reported issues through JIRA and ensure timely resolution.

- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile Scrum ceremonies.

- Prepare technical documentation, user guides, and implementation documents.

- Collaborate with design, verification, and CAD teams to improve overall development efficiency.

- Follow coding standards, software development lifecycle, and quality processes.

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for automation and optimization.

- Drive innovation by implementing best coding practices, reusable frameworks, and process improvements.

- Support integration of regression infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines.

- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and technical presentations.

- Ensure compliance with organizational quality standards and development processes.

Required Technical Skills :

1. Programming :

- Strong expertise in Python Programming (Mandatory)

- Excellent knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

- Experience writing reusable, modular, and maintainable code

- Strong debugging and analytical skills

- Strong hands-on experience with Unix/Linux

- Shell Scripting (Bash/Korn Shell)
