Role Overview :

The BI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions, including data models, dashboards, and visualizations. The role requires strong SQL and Tableau expertise, the ability to communicate insights effectively, and an understanding of data governance and data management best practices.

Key Experience & Competencies :

- Experience in data analysis, BI development, or related analytical roles.

- Strong SQL skills for querying and transforming data.

- Hands-on experience with relational databases and BI tools, especially Tableau.

- Ability to design and deliver data models and visually appealing dashboards.

- Demonstrates attention to detail and validates/test own work to maintain data accuracy.

- Strong communication skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Understanding of data governance, data cleansing, and metadata management principles.

Specific Skills and Business Competencies :

- Applies various techniques for data analysis and synthesis of findings to support decision-

making.

- Analyzes and validates business information requirements, defining approaches to deliver

reporting, BI, and analytics solutions.

- Communicates clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders and facilitates discussions across cross-functional teams.

- Designs basic data models and can reverse-engineer data models from existing systems.

- Independently designs, develops, implements, and tests BI models in Tableau.

- Creates and delivers standard reports, dashboards, and visualizations based on stakeholder needs and agreed standards.

- Identifies and applies appropriate methods to collect, collate, and prepare data for analysis.

- Performs data profiling and cleansing to ensure data is accurate and fit for purpose.

- Translates business requirements into clear and compelling data visualizations and reports.

- Monitors and responds to database, data process, and data product issues, taking proactive steps to resolve and prevent future problems.
