About the Role :
Our client, a product engineering and software development company specializing in enterprise, telecom, artificial intelligence, and IoT sectors, is seeking an experienced BSP Lead. This is a direct hiring position to spearhead the development, maintenance, and optimization of their embedded Linux BSP and platform software. The role involves leading a team of talented engineers, driving platform development from concept to production, and ensuring the highest standards of software quality.

Key Responsibilities :
- Team Leadership : Lead and mentor a team of BSP engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- BSP Ownership : Drive the development, maintenance, and optimization of the embedded Linux BSP and platform software.
- Platform Development : Develop and integrate bootloaders, Linux kernel, Device Trees, and device drivers.
- Hardware Integration : Lead board bring-up, hardware - software integration, and system validation efforts.
- Platform Architecture : Build and maintain a reusable, scalable software platform that supports multiple products.
- Technical Leadership : Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors to drive platform development from prototype through production.
- Planning & Reviews : Plan BSP activities, conduct design and code reviews, and ensure overall software quality.
Requirements :
- 3+ years of technical leadership experience, specifically leading a BSP or embedded Linux team.
- 8+ years of experience in BSP development, embedded systems engineering, and board bring-up.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
- Extensive experience with embedded Linux, including Linux kernel, U-Boot, Device Trees, BSP development, and device drivers.
- Hands-on experience with ARM Cortex-A and/or Cortex-M processors.
- Strong knowledge of embedded interfaces (SPI, IC, UART, USB, PCIe, Ethernet, GPIO, CAN) and low-level driver development.
- Experience with embedded Linux build environments such as NXP Linux SDK (Debian), Yocto, Buildroot, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong planning, communication, and mentoring skills.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience managing external vendors is an advantage.
- Experience with RTOSs such as FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or similar is an advantage.
- NXP / BSP Expertise : Hands-on experience in board bring-up, BSP development, and bringing Linux up on NXP i.MX9x SoCs is highly desirable.
- Hybrid Role : 4 days from office & 1 day wfh in a week
