Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced BSP & Boot ROM Test Automation Engineer to join our Embedded Systems validation team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python-based test automation, BSP validation, Linux boot flow, and Boot ROM/Secure Boot validation. You will be responsible for developing automated test frameworks, validating embedded platforms, debugging hardware/software issues, and ensuring the reliability of low-level firmware and boot components.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Python and Pytest.

- Validate Board Support Package (BSP) functionality across multiple embedded hardware platforms.

- Perform Boot ROM, Secure Boot, and Linux boot flow validation.

- Develop and execute automated test cases for firmware and low-level software components.

- Debug hardware and firmware issues using JTAG, Serial Console, and Linux debugging tools.

- Analyze boot logs, identify root causes, and work with firmware/BSP development teams to resolve issues.

- Develop regression test suites and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software quality throughout the product lifecycle.

- Create detailed validation reports, automation scripts, and test documentation.

- Participate in defect tracking, root cause analysis, and verification of fixes.

Required Skills :

- 4-8 years of experience in Embedded Software Validation or Test Automation.

- Strong programming skills in Python.

- Hands-on experience with the Pytest automation framework.

- Good understanding of BSP validation and Linux boot flow.

- Experience validating Boot ROM and Secure Boot.

- Experience debugging embedded hardware using JTAG and Serial Console.

- Strong Linux command-line and scripting skills.

- Experience with Git for source code management.

- Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have :

- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.

- Experience working with Emulation or Simulation platforms.

- Hands-on experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing.

- Knowledge of Power, Thermal, and Voltage Validation.

- Experience with Pytest-HTML reporting.

- Familiarity with automated regression testing for embedded platforms.
