Senior AI Engineer & Team Lead

Job Description :

We are seeking a talented and experienced Group Lead - AI Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, implementing and optimizing AI solutions using machine leaning, RAG and AI Agents, ensuring day-to-day IT product delivery of the enterprise standard. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual with a strong analytical mindset and hands-on experience in Cloud engineering, ML/AI concepts & technology.

Minimum Experience : 12 or more years of experience in the field of Data, Analytics & AI.

Preferred Qualification : Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science or any other equivalent discipline with strong focus on IT Candidates, additional certifications in the domain of Data Analytics, AI, GenAI or equivalent will be given preference.

Pre-requisite Grade (if internal job posting) :

GL4 and above

Responsibilities :

- 1. Leading and mentoring : Proven experience in Leading and mentoring a team of developers as direct reportees (Minimum 10), ensuring day-to-day delivery, adherence to standards as well as software engineering best practices.

- 2. Build and maintain AI solutions : Build and maintain AI solutions (ML serving, RAG, AI agents) in the cloud and integrate them with data sources and core systems.

- 3. Implement observability : Implement observability, performance tracking, cost monitoring, and rollback mechanisms for AI systems.

- 4. Align & collaborate : Align & collaborate with international leaders and team members to meet stakeholder needs. Integrate AI applications with data sources & core systems.

- 5. Contribute to delivery : Contribute with ~80% of working time to delivery by taking functional accountability in the specific shape role (e.g. Architect, Sr. Data Engineer).

- 6. Manage risks & escalations : Manage risks & escalations of any staffing issue like under-performing employees, not available skills, etc. Lead recruiting for new int/ext employees.

- 7. Manage and mentor : Manage and mentor a team of Data, AI, Analytics professionals, evaluate and improve the skill management and staffing process.

Skillset :

- 1. Cloud-native development : Confident with Python in cloud-native development on AWS (incl. EKS, Lambda), API development and relational as well as NoSQL databases.

- 2. Technical expertise : Strong expertise in CI/CD, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), orchestration (Airflow), monitoring and tracing.

- 3. ML/AI concepts : Experience with ML/AI concepts (LLM, RAG, Agentic AI, guardrails) and technologies (e.g., SageMaker, LangChain, MCP).

- 4. Communication : Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

- 5. Cross-functional experience : Demonstrated experience working cross-functional and multi-disciplinary department with excellent stakeholder management.

- 6. Adaptability : Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and collaborate effectively with teams.
