Purpose of role :
Brennans Cybersecurity Practice plays an essential role in Brennans overall business strategy. We are seeking a talented Senior Technical Consultant to join our Secure Networking team. You will bring expertise and a can-do attitude to develop and deliver technical solutions that strengthen the cyber security posture of our clients. The Senior Technical Consultant is a technical role that delivers a range of network and cybersecurity services to the market in a project-based delivery methodology.
Total Experience : 5 - 10 years
Role responsibilities :
- Forge strong relationships within Brennan and with our customers.
- Lead customer workshops to capture requirements for solution development.
- Communicate technical solutions and their business benefits to diverse stakeholders.
- Design and implement end-to-end architectures aligned with appropriate security standards.
- Develop documentation artefacts to describe technical solutions, configurations, and procedures.
- Execute system changes, upgrades, and implementations.
- Advise on industry best practices and governance-compliant solutions.
- Utilise scripting and automation where applicable.
- Attain and maintain knowledge and certifications in alignment with Brennans vendor strategy.
- Conduct comprehensive system discovery and analysis to drive solution development and delivery.
Key competencies :
- Wired and Wi-Fi Networking, Next-Generation Firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN and SASE technologies.
- NAC and network authentication, Data Centre network virtualisation technologies.
- Understanding of Microsoft and VMWare platforms (e.g., Active Directory / Entra ID, VMware ESXi, NSX).
- Public cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI).
- Security concepts and frameworks (e.g., Essential 8 and ISM initiatives, network segmentation).
