Role Overview :

We are looking for a passionate and hands-on Engineering Lead (Backend) to join our growing tech team. You will lead a team of talented backend engineers, driving high-impact projects, architectural decisions, and product scalability. This role is ideal for someone who loves solving complex problems, building scalable APIs, and mentoring engineers all while contributing to real business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and mentor a team of backend engineers; provide technical guidance, code reviews, and career development.

- Own the design, development, and delivery of robust backend systems and RESTful APIs.

- Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and QA to deliver high-quality features.

- Make architectural decisions for scalability, performance, and reliability.

- Ensure best practices in coding, testing, CI/CD, and deployment are followed.

- Drive adoption of modern engineering principles, tools, and practices.

- Troubleshoot production issues and lead root cause analysis to improve system stability.

Tech Stack :

Languages : Java or PHP (Laravel or Spring Boot)

Databases : MySQL, MS SQL Server, Redis

Cloud : AWS

DevOps : Docker, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)

Others : REST APIs, Microservices architecture, Git

Requirements :

- 7+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or mentoring role.

- Deep expertise in Java or PHP stack (Laravel/Spring Boot).

- Proven experience in designing scalable systems and RESTful APIs.

- Strong understanding of data modeling, caching, performance tuning, and security.

- Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure.

- Ability to balance technical depth with business needs and timelines.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
