Senior BIOS Development Engineer

Job Description :

We are looking for experienced BIOS Development Engineers with strong expertise in x86 BIOS/UEFI development, platform bring-up, and firmware architecture.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience working on BIOS frameworks and low-level platform firmware development.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain BIOS/UEFI firmware for x86 platforms.

- Support platform bring-up and hardware initialization activities.

- Work across BIOS boot stages including SEC, PEI, DXE, and BDS.

- Develop and debug firmware related to ACPI, PCIe, SPI/eSPI, IPMI, and storage protocols.

- Collaborate with hardware, validation, and platform engineering teams.

- Perform BIOS debugging and root-cause analysis using industry-standard tools.

Required Skills :

- 8-15 years of experience in x86 BIOS/UEFI Development.

- Expert-level C Programming skills.

- Experience with BIOS frameworks such as :

1. AMI

2. Insyde

3. Phoenix

4. Coreboot

5. EDK II

- Strong understanding of :

1. UEFI Architecture

2. ACPI

3. SMM

4. PCIe

5. SPI/eSPI

6. IPMI

7. UEFI Boot Flow

- Experience with Platform Bring-up and BIOS Debugging.

- Familiarity with hardware debugging tools such as ITP, Arium, AMD HDT, and BIOS Debugger.

Preferred Skills :

- Coreboot and FSP Development.

- SeaBIOS, U-Boot, LinuxBoot, Tianocore.

- NVMe, SATA, AHCI Storage Protocols.

- Pre-Silicon Development and Emulation Platforms.

- Android UEFI Bootloader experience.

Qualification :

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Electronics.

- Master's Degree preferred.
