Job Summary :
We are seeking highly skilled BIOS Development Engineers with extensive experience in x86 BIOS/UEFI firmware development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for BIOS architecture, platform bring-up, firmware integration, boot flow implementation, hardware enablement, and debugging across various x86 platforms.
The role requires deep expertise in UEFI architecture, Coreboot, FSP integration, firmware development, and hardware-software interaction across modern computing platforms.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, customize, and maintain x86 BIOS/UEFI firmware.
- Perform platform bring-up and BIOS preparation for new hardware platforms.
- Develop and debug firmware across various UEFI boot phases including SEC, PEI, DXE, and BDS.
- Integrate and customize firmware components such as FSP, memory initialization, security modules, and platform management firmware.
- Implement and maintain support for industry-standard protocols including PCIe, SPI, eSPI, I2C, ACPI, SMM, IPMI, and UEFI.
- Work closely with hardware teams to understand platform specifications and board-level requirements.
- Debug firmware issues using industry-standard tools and analyzers.
- Develop and maintain Coreboot and EDKII-based firmware solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, firmware releases, and quality assurance activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support custom BIOS feature development and customer requirements.
Mandatory Skills :
Firmware Development :
- 8- 15 years of experience in x86 BIOS/UEFI development.
- Strong expertise in C programming.
- Experience with x86 CPU/APU architectures and associated development tools.
- Hands-on experience with at least one BIOS codebase :

BIOS Architecture & Boot Flow :
- Strong understanding of :
1. SEC, PEI, DXE, and BDS phases
2. PCDs and UPDs

7. BIOS handoff to operating system bootloaders
Firmware Components :
- Experience working with :

- Working knowledge of :

Pre-Silicon Development :
- Exposure to pre-silicon BIOS development in simulation and emulation environments.

Preferred Skills :
- Android UEFI-based Bootloader development for x86 platforms.
- BIOS performance optimization and firmware tuning.
- Open-source firmware development experience.
- Experience supporting custom BIOS requirements for multiple stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of x86-64 architecture from a BIOS developers perspective.
- Deep understanding of UEFI framework concepts and BIOS boot flow.
Additional Skills :
- Working knowledge of Git for source code management, code reviews, and release management.
- Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with globally distributed teams.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Educational Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related discipline from a reputed institution.
- Masters Degree from a reputed university is highly preferred.
