Job Title : BI & Analytics Expert Databricks

About the Role :

We are looking for a BI & Analytics Expert with strong experience in designing, building, and delivering analytics solutions on Databricks. In this role, you will focus on creating analytics-ready data models, building interactive dashboards, and enabling self-service analytics for enterprise clients using modern Lakehouse architectures.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and platform teams to translate reporting and analytics requirements into scalable, governed, and high-performance BI solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and deliver end-to-end BI and analytics solutions on Databricks

- Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Databricks Dashboards (Lakeview) and external BI tools

- Optimize Lakehouse data models (Gold layer) for analytics and reporting use cases

- Enable self-service analytics for business users with governed access

- Implement and manage data security and governance using Unity Catalog

- Optimize SQL queries and analytics workloads for performance and cost

- Set up alerts, scheduled queries, and operational reporting workflows

- Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, present insights, and ensure successful adoption

Technical Skills Required :

- Databricks SQL and SQL Warehouses for analytics workloads

- Databricks Dashboards (Lakeview) for native visualization

- Power BI or Tableau with Databricks Partner Connect integration

- AI/BI Genie for natural language analytics and dashboard creation

- Delta Lake Gold layer design for analytics consumption

- Unity Catalog for row-level and column-level security

- SQL performance optimization (caching, Photon, warehouse sizing)

- Alerts and scheduled query execution for operational reporting

Experience & Qualifications :

- 3+ years of experience in BI and analytics roles

- At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Databricks SQL

- Delivered 2+ enterprise-grade dashboards or self-service analytics implementations

- Strong SQL skills and solid understanding of analytics data modeling

- Excellent communication skills with experience in client-facing interactions

- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable analytics solutions

Nice to Have :

- Experience working in enterprise or consulting environments

- Exposure to data governance, compliance, and access control best practices

- Familiarity with modern Lakehouse or cloud analytics architectures
