Job Description:
About the Role:
BathXpertz is looking for a Product Manager to sit at the intersection of our business teams, our internal users (sales, operations, service), and our engineering team. You will own product requirements end-to-end - from understanding business pain points, to writing build-ready specifications, to driving developers and vendors to ship on real timelines, to making sure what gets shipped actually solves the problem. This is a hands-on, execution-heavy role, not a strategy-only role.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Discovery & Requirement Definition:
- Translate business problems into detailed Figma UI/ UX screens, unambiguous Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), and user stories that developers can build from directly, without repeated back-and-forth.
- Define acceptance criteria, edge cases, error states, and expected API/data behaviour for every requirement.
- Maintain a single source of truth for product specs, decisions, and change history.
- Manage full product lifecycle from discovery & ideation to development to launch and adoption.
Partnership with Engineering:
- Run daily standups with development teams (e.g., telephony, CRM, IVR, payment partners); sit with developers and pair-review progress when needed.
- Scrutinize estimates and timelines critically - distinguish genuine blockers from cushioned or padded estimates, and push back constructively when timelines do not hold up to scrutiny.
- Track dependencies, raise risks early, and escalate when teams slip commitments (e.g., multi-day silences on integration tickets).
Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary point-of-contact for sales, operations, and service teams who use our systems.
- Resolve user complaints - triage whether an issue is a bug, a misuse, a training gap, or a genuine product gap.
- Translate 'the system is slow' or 'this is not working' into precise, reproducible, engineering-ready tickets.
- Educate non-technical stakeholders on technical feasibility.
Prioritization & Delivery:
- Maintain and ruthlessly prioritise the product backlog; balance new feature requests against bug fixes, technical debt, and integration work.
- Make clear, defensible calls on what ships this sprint vs what waits, using impact, effort, and risk as the framework.
- Own QA sign-off before releases; verify that what was asked for is what was built.
Cross-functional Ownership:
- Drive third-party integrations (CRM, telephony/IVR, marketing, analytics, ERP) to completion.
- Hold vendors accountable to SLAs and ticket turnaround times; chase when responses lag, and escalate within vendor hierarchies when needed.
- Review vendor-proposed architectures, API contracts, and security/authentication approaches with enough depth to catch gaps early.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- B.E. / B.Tech / MCA in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 4+ years of total experience, with at least 2-3 years as a hands-on developer (backend, full-stack, or integrations) before transitioning into a product management role.
- 4+ years as a Product Owner, or Technical Product Manager.
- Past experience with CRM products (Zoho CRM or Salesforce-type ecosystems), Internal tooling / workflow automation products, B2B or ops-heavy products
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand code, API documentation, database schemas, and system architecture diagrams - enough to independently validate whether a developer's estimate is reasonable.
- Strong written communication - portfolio of PRDs or product specs will be requested during interview.
- Experience running Agile / Scrum sprints with a development team of 6-10 engineers.
Must-Have Skills:
- Figma, configuring CRM. Eg: Zoho (preferable), Salesforce, Hubspot
- SQL, Postman and Jira
- Expert level in Excel modeling and data analysis, good to have Power BI or Tableau
- Basic familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)
Nice-to-Have:
- Prior experience in a D2C, retail, home-services, or home-interiors business.
What Success Looks Like in This Role:
Within 30 days:
- Full working knowledge of our current tech stack, active integrations, and open developer tickets.
- Direct relationships established with every developer, Project Manager, and internal business stakeholders.
- A cleaned-up, prioritised backlog with every item having a clear owner and acceptance criteria.
Within 90 days:
- At least one previously-stuck integration or feature shipped to production.
- A predictable sprint cadence with <15% slippage on committed work.
- Engineering response-time SLAs defined, tracked, and enforced.
Within 6 months:
- A documented product roadmap aligned with business goals, reviewed monthly with leadership.
- Success metrics: Product adoption metrics, NPS, Customer tickets and complaints, Time to go live
What We Are Not Looking For:
This is not a role for a pure strategy PM who wants to stay at the roadmap level. It is also not a role for a pure Scrum Master / delivery manager without product judgment. We need someone who can go deep on technical detail and wide on business context
