Barco is looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software products.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, Node.js, and Python, along with a solid understanding of APIs, databases, and modern software engineering practices.

The role involves building scalable applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to technical design, code quality, and reliable software delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full-stack applications.

- Build responsive and maintainable user interfaces using JavaScript/TypeScript and Angular.

- Develop backend services and APIs using Node.js and Python.

- Design, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs and service interfaces.

- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to support application requirements.

- Contribute to microservices-based applications and scalable software architectures.

- Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-tested code.

- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and design decisions.

- Apply software engineering best practices, including automated testing and Test-Driven Development where appropriate.

- Collaborate with product owners, designers, QA engineers, and other developers in an Agile environment.

- Troubleshoot defects, improve application performance, and resolve technical issues.

- Support CI/CD pipelines and contribute to continuous integration and delivery.

- Maintain technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 5 - 11 years of professional software development experience.

- Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.

- Experience developing frontend applications using Angular.

- Backend development experience with Node.js.

- Working knowledge of Python.

- Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs.

- Good understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.

- Knowledge of microservices and modern application architecture.

- Familiarity with Git, automated testing, and code review practices.

- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles.

- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.

- Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications.

- Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks.

- Experience building enterprise-grade or product-based software applications.

- Understanding of application performance, security, and scalability.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

Education :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
