Barco is looking for an IT Operations Engineer - IT SecOps to support enterprise IT operations, maintain secure IT infrastructure, and ensure the availability, stability, and security of business-critical systems.

The role involves operational monitoring, troubleshooting, access management, security compliance, incident resolution, and coordination with infrastructure and cybersecurity teams.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing enterprise IT environments, resolving technical incidents, implementing security controls, and following IT service management and operational security practices.

Key Responsibilities :

- Monitor enterprise IT infrastructure and operational systems to ensure availability, performance, and security.

- Troubleshoot and resolve IT incidents, service requests, and infrastructure-related issues within defined SLAs.

- Support IT security operations by implementing security policies, access controls, and operational procedures.

- Administer and maintain Windows and/or Linux systems, user accounts, and system configurations.

- Monitor system logs, investigate unusual activities, and escalate potential security incidents.

- Support patch management, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening activities.

- Manage user access, permissions, and access reviews in accordance with organizational policies.

- Coordinate with network, cloud, endpoint, and security teams to resolve operational issues.

- Support backup, recovery, business continuity, and disaster recovery procedures.

- Maintain operational documentation, incident records, change logs, and troubleshooting guides.

- Follow ITIL-based processes for incident, problem, and change management.

- Assist with IT audits, compliance checks, and implementation of security best practices.

- Identify recurring operational issues and recommend improvements to system reliability and efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 5 - 11 years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure support, system administration, or IT service operations.

- Good understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure and operational security.

- Hands-on experience with Windows and/or Linux operating systems.

- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewall concepts.

- Experience with incident management, troubleshooting, and SLA-based service delivery.

- Familiarity with patch management, system hardening, and vulnerability remediation.

- Understanding of identity and access management and endpoint security.

- Experience with monitoring tools, system logs, and operational reporting.

- Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems.

- Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, and coordination skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Microsoft 365 and enterprise endpoint management.

- Exposure to Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, or similar identity platforms.

- Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, and endpoint protection solutions.

- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and security operations.

- Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Jira Service Management.

- Understanding of security standards such as ISO 27001 and NIST.

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
