Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled Expert Software Engineer to join our dynamic product development team who can be part of the Barco CTRL product group.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in development, architecture and design of software applications using MongoDB, Angular, Node.js, and Python.

You will work closely with our global feature teams to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions.

This role requires a deep understanding of full-stack development and a passion for creating scalable and efficient applications.

About The Role :

As Expert Software Engineer Full Stack you will :

- Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, System Architects, and System validation teams across different locations to design and implement quality product increments.

- Lead and contribute on development, architecture and design of functional and nonfunctional components for highly complex and high quality product software increments.

- Gain a deep understanding of the Barco control room product, becoming proficient in all its features.

- Adhere to best practices in code quality, security, and software development and wherever necessary identifies the gaps and propose best practices.

- Work with cross-functional teams across multiple groups, geographies, and time zones.

- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, timely product releases.

- Provide guidance and mentor fellow colleagues and other specialists.

- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, integrating them into the development process to enhance application functionality.

Qualifications and Experience :

1. Education :

- B. Tech. / B. E. / M. Tech. in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering.

2. Experience :

- 8-12 years of enriched full stack development and architecture experience with good proficiency in JavaScript, Typescript, Node.js, Angular, and Python technologies.

- Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases.

- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture and containerization (Docker).

- Expert in Test driven development (TDD), good experience with CI/CD, and DevOps practices.

- Experience of working with source code control tools like Github.

- Experience in designing, implementing, and supporting reusable and maintainable APIs and services.

- Exceptional understanding of engineering principles and practices.

- Good experience in leading technical tracks end to end in product development.

- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is good to have.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
