Backend-First AI Engineer (Python/Django)

We are looking for a backend-first engineer who is deeply passionate about building AI-powered applications.

This is not a traditional backend role. You will be expected to design and build intelligent systems using modern AI APIs and stay constantly updated with the rapidly evolving AI ecosystem.

Core Tech Stack

Backend : Python, Django (Primary focus)

Frontend : React, TypeScript (Working knowledge required)

AI Tools : OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), and similar LLM APIs

Key Responsibilities :

- Build scalable backend systems using Python/Django

- Experience working with React/Typescript (Frontend Side)

- Design and integrate AI-powered features using LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)

- Work closely with frontend teams to deliver end-to-end product features

- Continuously explore and integrate latest AI tools, SDKs, and frameworks

- Use AI-assisted coding tools to significantly improve development speed and quality

Must-Have Requirements :

- Strong backend experience with Python and Django

- Hands-on experience working with AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) in production or serious projects

- Solid understanding of LLM-based application development

Familiarity with concepts like :

- Prompt engineering

- RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)

- Agent workflows / orchestration

- Strong exposure to AI-first developer tools like Claude Code, Cursor, etc.

- Backend-first mindset with ability to contribute to frontend when needed

- Strong problem-solving and system design skills

What We're Looking For :

- Someone who is actively following the latest developments in AI

- High curiosity and genuine interest in experimenting with new AI tools

- Ability to quickly learn and adapt in a fast-moving ecosystem

- A builder mindset - someone who has actually shipped AI features, not just explored them

Good to Have :

- Experience with vector databases, embeddings, or semantic search

- Side projects or demos involving AI applications

- Exposure to agent frameworks or multi-step AI workflows

Evaluation Criteria :

- Depth of backend expertise

- Practical AI application experience (not theoretical)

- Familiarity with tools like Claude Code / Cursor

- Awareness of latest AI trends and concepts

Budget : 40 to 50 LPA
