Responsibilities :

- Design, build, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.

- Develop secure and scalable REST APIs for fintech web and mobile apps.

- Collaborate with product, frontend, and data teams to integrate backend systems.

- Work on data processing pipelines using PySpark for large-scale financial data analysis (good to have).

- Support Python-based backend or scripting tasks as needed.

- Experiment with or integrate generative AI models to enhance product features (chatbots, document processing, fraud detection, etc. ) is a big plus.

- Ensure data security, encryption, and compliance with financial regulations.

- Optimise databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and implement reliable data models.

- Write tests, perform code reviews, and improve CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements :

- 2-3 years of backend development experience with Java 8+ and Spring Boot.

- Strong knowledge of REST API design and implementation.

- Experience with relational databases, SQL, and performance tuning.

- Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD, and cloud deployment (AWS/GCP).

- Understanding of security best practices in fintech (OAuth2 JWT, data encryption).

- Good communication and ability to work independently in a startup environment.
