Backend Developer - Node.js

Responsibilities :

- Experience designing RESTful APIs, exposure to GraphQL

- Strong in unit and integration testing (Jest, supertest)

- Experience with CI/CD (GitLab CI, Docker, containerization best practices)

- Knowledge of caching (Redis), messaging queues (SQS/Kafka/RabbitMQ)

- AWS expertise: Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudWatch, DynamoDB

- Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and scalability patterns

- Knowledge of authentication & authorization (JWT, OAuth2, Cognito)

- Experience with monitoring & logging (ELK stack, Datadog, X-Ray)

- Agile Scrum, Jira/Confluence, RESTful service design, TDD, Clean code

- Good written and Verbal communication

- Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies

- Experience working with international clients (UK & US)

- Meeting tight deadlines with a cool head

- Ability to handle pressure and last minute changes

- Taking responsibility and ownership for development work

- Meeting the customer quality standards

Good to Have :

- Experience migrating code from Java to Nodejs i.e. understanding Java code and converting to Nodejs

- Experience developing secure, de-coupled & resilience Microservices

- Good team player

- API Gateway, Sequelize, SonarQube, Datadog,

- Gov/NHS Service Standards, CDDO Technology Code of Practice
