Role Summary :

The Backend Developer is a critical engineering role focused on architecting and maintaining high-performance, cloud-native applications within the Microsoft ecosystem. With 49 years of experience, you will be responsible for building scalable web services and RESTful APIs using C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Core.

This position requires a deep technical understanding of Azure cloud services, including the management of Azure APIM, Key Vault, and App Configuration. You will take ownership of the full development lifecycle, leveraging Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and Entity Framework Core for optimized data persistence in MySQL.

The ideal candidate is an Agile-fluent developer who can implement distributed caching with Redis and ensure system observability through App Insights, while maintaining a high standard of code quality and security.

Responsibilities :

- API & Service Architecture : Design and develop high-throughput RESTful APIs and microservices using .NET Core and C#, ensuring strict adherence to architectural best practices.

- Cloud Infrastructure Management : Configure and manage Azure API Management (APIM) to secure, publish, and analyze APIs across the enterprise.

- Data Layer Engineering : Architect and optimize data access layers using Entity Framework Core, performing complex schema designs and query optimizations in MySQL.

- DevOps & Automation : Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Azure Git to facilitate seamless, zero-downtime deployments.

- Application Performance Monitoring : Implement and monitor system health using Azure App Insights, proactively identifying bottlenecks and performance regressions.

- Distributed Caching & Configuration : Optimize application latency using Redis Cache and manage environment-specific settings through Azure App Config.

- Security & Secret Management : Ensure secure application development by integrating Azure Key Vault for the management of keys, secrets, and certificates.

- Full-Lifecycle Ownership : Participate in the complete Agile/Scrum lifecycle, from sprint planning and deconstruction of user stories to final deployment and maintenance.

- Observability & Debugging : Utilize telemetry data to troubleshoot production issues and provide root cause analysis for complex cloud-integrated systems.

- Legacy Support : (Plus) Maintain and enhance existing WinForms applications, providing a bridge between legacy desktop systems and modern cloud backends.

Technical Requirements :

- Core .NET Stack : 4 to 9 years of hands-on experience in C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Core (v3.1 through .NET 6/8).

- Database Mastery : Strong proficiency in Entity Framework Core and MySQL, including transaction management and indexing strategies.

- Azure Cloud Services : Practical experience with Azure App Services, APIM, Key Vault, and App Insights.

- DevOps Proficiency : Expert knowledge of Azure DevOps, including YAML-based pipelines and Git-based version control.

- Web Services : Expert-level understanding of REST architecture, HTTP protocols, and JSON/XML serialization.

- Performance Tooling : Hands-on experience with Redis for distributed caching and state management.

Preferred Skills :

- Cloud-Native Design : Familiarity with serverless computing (Azure Functions) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

- Security Best Practices : Knowledge of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and Azure Active Directory integration.

- Agile Leadership : Experience in leading daily stand-ups or acting as a Scrum Master within the engineering team.

- Unit Testing : Mastery of NUnit or xUnit and mocking frameworks for high-quality TDD implementation.

- Frontend Alignment : Basic understanding of how backend APIs interact with modern frontend frameworks like React or Angular.
