As a Backend Developer, you'll play a critical role in building robust, scalable services that power our core platform. This is a high- impact position where you'll help shape architecture, drive performance improvements, and bring features to life in collaboration with product and frontend teams.

What You'll Do :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and backend services using Node.js (or equivalent modern backend frameworks).

- Work with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or similar databases to manage structured and unstructured data.

- Ensure system reliability, performance, and security across services and integrations.

- Collaborate with frontend developers and product managers to define API contracts and deliver seamless user experiences.

- Contribute to system architecture decisions, including service design, data modeling, and API lifecycle.

- Implement caching, background jobs, and queue systems (e.g., Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka) for efficiency.

- Write unit and integration tests, conduct code reviews, and follow CI/CD best practices.

- Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering best practices and internal tooling.

What We're Looking For :

- 3- 7 years of professional backend development experience

- Proficiency in Node.js and frameworks like Express.js

- Solid understanding of REST API design, request lifecycle, and performance tuning

- Experience with databases : MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or similar (query optimization, schema design, migrations)

- Familiarity with authentication & authorization (JWT, OAuth2)

- Hands- on experience with Git, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines

- Strong debugging, testing (Jest/Mocha), and problem- solving skills

- Ability to work independently and handle end- to- end feature development

Bonus Points :

- Experience with TypeScript

- Knowledge of GraphQL, WebSockets, or real- time data handling

- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP)

- Background in SaaS, AI/ML platforms, or recruitment tech

- Experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring other developers
