Job Title : Azure Solutions Architect (Healthcare SaaS)

Simplify Healthcare is looking for an Azure Solutions Architect with 12 to 18 years experience. Not just a "cloud generalist" but a Healthcare Integration Specialist.

This individual must understand the delicate balance between rapid SaaS scaling and the rigid compliance (HIPAA/HITRUST) required when interfacing with major healthcare ecosystems.

About the Role :

As our Lead Azure Architect, you will be the primary architect for the Simplify Health Cloud. You will be responsible for designing the infrastructure that allows our SaaS product to interface seamlessly with major healthcare ecosystems. You will bridge the gap between high-level business strategy and hands-on technical execution, ensuring our platform is scalable, secure, and cost-efficient.

Key Contributions & Responsibilities :

- Healthcare Ecosystem Integration : Lead the architectural design for secure data exchange and interoperability between our platform and major healthcare interfaces (using HL7, FHIR, or proprietary APIs).

- Full-Stack Azure Infrastructure : Design and manage a robust environment using Azure VMs, App Services, and Function Apps.

- Serverless & Scalable Data : Architect modern, serverless workflows and manage Elastic Database pools to handle fluctuating healthcare payer workloads.

- Cost Optimization : Implement rigorous Cloud Financial Management (FinOps) to monitor and reduce Azure consumption costs without compromising performance.

- Cloud Security & Governance : Act as the guardian of our HIPAA/HITRUST compliance. Manage vulnerability assessments, identity (Entra ID), and "Zero Trust" networking.

- DevOps & Automation : Drive "Infrastructure as Code" (Terraform/Bicep) to ensure repeatable, audited deployments.

Technical Must-Haves :

- Cloud Native Services : Expert-level knowledge of Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Service Bus for event-driven architectures.

- Database Mastery : Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Elastic Pools and Cosmos DB for multi-tenant SaaS scaling.

- Security First : Proven experience with Azure Security Center (Defender for Cloud), Key Vault, and Private Link to ensure data never touches the public internet.

- Healthcare Standards : Familiarity with healthcare-specific integration patterns (claims processing, provider data, and benefits configuration).

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience : 8+ years in cloud architecture, with at least 3 years specifically in the Healthcare Payer/Provider space.

- Direct Integration Experience : Prior experience working with digital health or claims platforms in large healthcare ecosystems.

- Certifications: Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) or Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500).
