About the Role :

GK HR Consulting is looking for an experienced Azure Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-based data solutions.


The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Azure data services, ETL/ELT pipeline development, data warehousing, and big data technologies.


You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build robust, high-performance data platforms that enable business intelligence and advanced analytics.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure data services.

- Build and optimize data solutions using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks.

- Develop data transformation workflows using PySpark, Python, and SQL.

- Design and implement modern data warehouse architectures, including star and snowflake schemas.

- Develop and manage data lakes using Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2).

- Integrate data from multiple sources, including databases, APIs, SaaS applications, and flat files.

- Optimize SQL queries and Spark jobs for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

- Implement data quality checks, validation, and monitoring processes.

- Work with business stakeholders, data analysts, and BI teams to deliver reliable datasets.

- Ensure data security, governance, and compliance using Azure best practices.

- Automate data workflows and deployments using Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.

- Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing support for data platforms.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering.

- Strong hands-on experience with :

1. Azure Data Factory (ADF)

2. Azure Databricks

3. Azure Synapse Analytics

4. Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2)

5. Azure SQL Database

- Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL.

- Experience building enterprise-scale ETL/ELT pipelines.

- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and Medallion Architecture.

- Experience working with structured and semi-structured data (JSON, Parquet, CSV, XML).

- Knowledge of Delta Lake and Spark optimization techniques.

- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Understanding of data governance, security, and access management in Azure.

- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with Microsoft Fabric is an added advantage.

- Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) certification is preferred.

- Experience with Power BI integration.

- Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
