AWS Data Engineer

About the Role:

We are looking for experienced AWS Data Engineers to design, develop and maintain scalable data engineering solutions on AWS. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in building data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows and cloud-based data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines on AWS.

- Develop ETL/ELT workflows using AWS Glue, Lambda, EMR and Step Functions.

- Build data ingestion solutions using Kinesis, Kafka or SQS.

- Design and optimize data lakes using Amazon S3, Glue Data Catalog and Lake Formation.

- Develop and optimize data warehouse solutions using Amazon Redshift / Snowflake.

- Implement data quality checks, monitoring, logging and production support processes.

- Develop data transformation solutions using Python/PySpark and SQL.

- Work with large datasets and distributed data processing frameworks.

- Collaborate with data architects, analytics teams and business stakeholders.

- Support CI/CD deployments and contribute to automation and DevOps practices.

- Troubleshoot production issues and ensure reliable data pipelines.

Must-Have Skills:

- 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering.

- Strong hands-on experience with AWS Glue, S3, Lambda, IAM and Step Functions.

- Strong programming experience in Python / PySpark.

- Strong SQL and data transformation skills.

- Experience with Redshift, Athena and Glue Data Catalog.

- Good understanding of Apache Spark / EMR / Glue.

- Strong understanding of data lakes, data warehousing and data modeling.

- Experience working with cloud-based data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.

Good to Have:

- Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.

- Knowledge of Kinesis, Kafka or SQS.

- Experience with CI/CD and Git.

- Exposure to Snowflake.

- Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks.

Education:

B.E / B.Tech or equivalent qualification.
