Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Architect with a strong background in software development, cloud-native architecture, and AI/Generative AI technologies.

The candidate will design scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-effective AWS solutions and drive application modernization from on-premises environments to cloud-native architectures.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement scalable, highly available, secure, and cost-effective AWS cloud architectures.

- Lead application modernization and cloud migration initiatives from on-premises environments to AWS.

- Define target architectures using AWS services such as EKS, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS/Aurora, DynamoDB, CloudFront, VPC, IAM, EventBridge, SQS/SNS and related services.

- Evaluate applications and recommend modernization strategies including Rehost, Replatform, Refactor and Retire.

- Drive transformation of monolithic applications into microservices and cloud-native applications.

- Provide technical leadership across application architecture, APIs, databases, containers, DevOps and cloud infrastructure.

- Guide development teams on Java/.NET application development and cloud-native engineering best practices.

- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code and automated deployment mechanisms.

- Apply AWS security best practices covering IAM, encryption, network security, secrets management, logging and monitoring.

- Design for performance, scalability, resilience, disaster recovery and cloud cost optimization.

- Conduct architecture reviews and create HLD, LLD, architecture diagrams and technical documentation.

AI / Generative AI Responsibilities :

- Identify opportunities to leverage AI/ML and Generative AI within application modernization and software engineering.

- Design and integrate AWS AI/ML and GenAI services into enterprise applications.

- Evaluate and integrate LLMs, AI agents, RAG, vector databases and prompt engineering capabilities.

- Explore AI-assisted software engineering use cases such as code modernization, code generation, automated code review, test-case generation, vulnerability detection/remediation and documentation generation.

- Understand LLM orchestration, embeddings, vector search, RAG and AI-agent architecture.

- Apply appropriate security, governance, data privacy and guardrails for enterprise GenAI solutions.

Software Development Background :

- Strong programming experience in Java, .NET, Python or similar languages.

- Experience designing and developing REST APIs and microservices.

- Experience with Spring Boot, .NET Core or equivalent frameworks.

- Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.

- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

- Good understanding of software design principles, design patterns and distributed systems.

- Experience with Git, CI/CD and Agile development practices.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.

- 6 - 9 years of professional IT experience, with significant experience in software development and cloud technologies.

- Strong communication, architecture documentation and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

- AWS Solutions Architect - Associate/Professional certification is preferred.
