We are looking for a Senior Java Developer with strong expertise in containerization and cloud-native technologies to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, REST APIs, CI/CD, and SQL, along with a strong understanding of modern application deployment and cloud-native architecture.

The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable Java-based applications while leveraging containerization and orchestration technologies.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Java applications using Java 8+/11+.

- Develop scalable and maintainable microservices using Spring Boot.

- Design and implement robust RESTful APIs and integrate services with internal and external systems.

- Develop modular, reusable, and performance-efficient application components.

- Containerize Java applications using Docker and create optimized Docker images.

- Work with Kubernetes for application deployment, configuration, scaling, and service management.

- Create and maintain Kubernetes resources such as Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, and Ingress.

- Troubleshoot application, container, and deployment-related issues across development and production environments.

- Participate in the design and implementation of cloud-native application architectures.

- Work closely with DevOps teams to integrate applications with CI/CD pipelines and automate build, testing, and deployment processes.

- Manage source code using Git and follow established branching, code review, and version-control practices.

- Build and manage Java projects using Maven or Gradle.

- Write efficient SQL queries and work with relational databases.

- Analyze application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement appropriate optimizations.

- Work in Linux/Unix environments for application troubleshooting, log analysis, and deployment support.

- Implement appropriate logging, error handling, monitoring, and application health checks.

- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, design reviews, and Agile ceremonies.

- Collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and other developers to deliver reliable solutions.

- Follow secure coding, development standards, and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Mandatory Technical Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience with Core Java.

- Strong programming experience in Java 8+ / Java 11+.

- Good understanding of OOP, Collections, Exception Handling, Multithreading, and Java Streams.

- Understanding of JVM concepts and application performance optimization is preferred.

- Strong experience with Spring Boot.

- Hands-on experience developing Microservices-based applications.

- Good understanding of dependency injection, configuration, profiles, and Spring ecosystem.

- Experience designing service-to-service communication and distributed applications.

- Hands-on experience with Docker and application containerization.

- Experience creating and optimizing Dockerfiles and container images.

- Understanding of container lifecycle, networking, volumes, and image management.

- Experience troubleshooting containerized applications.

- Good hands-on experience with Kubernetes.

- Understanding of Pods, Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Ingress, Namespaces, and scaling.

- Experience deploying and troubleshooting applications on Kubernetes.

- Knowledge of Kubernetes health checks, resource limits, and rolling deployments is preferred.

- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.

- Experience with HTTP methods, status codes, authentication, authorization, request/response handling, and API validation.

- Knowledge of API security and performance best practices is preferred.

- Hands-on experience with Maven or Gradle.

- Strong experience with Git.

- Understanding of branching strategies, pull requests, merge/rebase, and code reviews.

- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.

- Understanding of automated build, testing, artifact management, and deployment processes.

- Exposure to tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar is preferred.

- Good understanding of SQL and relational databases.

- Experience writing complex SQL queries, joins, indexes, and troubleshooting database-related issues.

- Exposure to databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar.

- Good working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.

- Comfortable with command-line utilities, log analysis, process management, file permissions, and basic shell commands.

Cloud-Native & Deployment Knowledge :

- Understanding of cloud-native application architecture.

- Knowledge of container-based application deployment and orchestration.

- Understanding of scalability, availability, resilience, and fault tolerance.

- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is an advantage.

- Understanding of concepts such as load balancing, service discovery, centralized configuration, monitoring, and distributed logging is preferred.

- Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP.

- Exposure to Helm charts and Kubernetes package management.

- Knowledge of Kafka/RabbitMQ or other messaging technologies.

- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, or other Java testing frameworks.

- Knowledge of application monitoring and observability tools.

- Exposure to ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools.

- Understanding of microservices security, OAuth2/JWT, and API gateways.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

- Equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
