ATS Global - Liferay Developer - Java

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Liferay Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise portals and digital experience solutions using Liferay DXP/Portal. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Liferay frameworks, Java technologies, and portal-based architectures, with experience in integrating Liferay with enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain applications and portals on Liferay DXP/Portal.

- Customize Liferay themes, layouts, portlets, and hooks as per business requirements.

- Implement and configure workflows, roles, permissions, and user management in Liferay.

- Integrate Liferay with external systems (ERP, CRM, ECM, SSO, REST/SOAP APIs, etc.

- Troubleshoot and resolve portal issues, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities.

- Collaborate with business analysts, UX/UI teams, and other developers to deliver end-to-end solutions.

- Perform upgrades and migrations between Liferay versions.

- Create technical documentation, unit tests, and deployment guides.

- Support DevOps and CI/CD processes for Liferay deployments.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5- 8 years of hands-on experience with Liferay DXP / Liferay Portal.

- Strong proficiency in Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, and JSP/Servlets.

- Experience with Liferay portlet development (JSR 286), OSGi modules, and service builder.

- Knowledge of frontend technologies : HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, React/Angular (preferred).

- Familiarity with databases : MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.

- Experience with REST/SOAP web services integration.

- Understanding of portal concepts : SSO, roles/permissions, content management, and workflow.

- Familiarity with DevOps tools (Maven/Gradle, Git, Jenkins, Docker, etc.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology
