Role : Associate Director / Director Engineering (AI, Software & Analytics)

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced engineering leader to drive technical excellence while building and developing high-performing teams across software engineering, AI, and analytics.

This role requires a balance of strategic leadership, technical depth, and execution capability. The ideal candidate has evolved from a hands-on engineering background into people leadership and is still comfortable reviewing architecture, influencing design decisions, and providing technical guidance on AI/ML initiatives.

What You'll Do :

Engineering Leadership :

- Build, mentor, and scale engineering teams across software development, Agentic AI, and analytics.

- Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent while fostering a high-performance culture.

- Coach engineering managers and senior engineers to strengthen the organization's leadership pipeline.

- Lead performance management, career development, and succession planning.

Technical Strategy & Delivery :

- Define engineering standards for architecture, code quality, and software delivery.

- Translate business priorities into clear technical roadmaps and execution plans.

- Review architectural decisions and provide technical guidance on complex engineering challenges.

- Drive consistent engineering processes, delivery governance, and operational excellence as teams scale.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management :

- Partner closely with business, analytics, and engineering teams to ensure alignment on priorities and execution.

- Communicate effectively with technical teams, leadership, clients, and executive stakeholders.

- Manage discussions around project scope, timelines, priorities, and resource allocation with a solution-oriented approach.

- Navigate changing business priorities while maintaining delivery quality and team engagement.

Candidate Profile :

Leadership Experience :

- 8 to 12 years of experience in software engineering or a related technical discipline.

- Demonstrated success leading engineering teams and managing technical talent.

- Experience building or expanding engineering organizations and management structures.

- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.

- Ability to thrive in fast-changing environments with multiple competing priorities.

- High level of adaptability, ownership, and execution focus.

Technical Expertise :

- Strong software engineering foundation with the ability to evaluate architecture and influence technical decisions.

- Good understanding of the complete AI/ML lifecycle, including problem definition, data preparation, model development, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.

- Familiarity with modern AI technologies, including Python, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), LLMs, Agentic AI frameworks, and MLOps practices is an advantage.

- Understanding of data engineering concepts, data pipelines, data warehousing, and business intelligence/visualization tools is desirable.

Preferred Background :

- Experience working in consulting, professional services, or client-facing delivery environments is a strong advantage.
