Role Overview:

We are looking for an Agentic AI Developer with strong Java development experience and hands-on expertise in GitHub Copilot and Copilot Chat. The role focuses on building AI agents to automate software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities, including code analysis, refactoring, Java upgrades, dependency updates, testing, and pull request creation across multiple services.

Responsibilities:

- Build and configure AI agents using GitHub Copilot and Copilot Chat to automate software development tasks.

- Develop agents that analyze codebases and automate code modifications, refactoring, Java version upgrades, and dependency updates across multiple services.

- Automate testing, code validation, and pull request creation using Git and GitHub workflows.

- Integrate AI-driven automation into existing development processes to improve engineering productivity, code quality, and consistency.

- Validate AI-generated code changes to ensure correctness, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.

- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify SDLC automation opportunities and implement scalable solutions.

Requirements:

- 8 - 13 years of software development experience with strong hands-on Java expertise.

- Practical experience in Agentic AI development, including building and configuring AI agents.

- Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot and Copilot Chat for software development automation.

- Experience using AI agents to automate code analysis, modifications, refactoring, upgrades, or dependency management.

- Strong understanding of Git, GitHub, branching strategies, and pull request workflows.

- Ability to assess AI-generated changes and ensure code quality, reliability, and security.

- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with Spring Boot, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and Jenkins is an advantage.
