12+ years in Data & Analytics, with 4+ years in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform, or modern Microsoft analytics technologies.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Microsoft Fabric Data Architect to lead the strategic architecture and governance of enterprise-scale Microsoft Fabric implementations. This is an architecture leadership role focused on defining the long-term vision, roadmap, and technical direction of the Microsoft Fabric platform across multiple business initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing enterprise data platforms using Microsoft Fabric and Azure technologies, with proven success in driving architecture decisions, managing cross-functional dependencies, and ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions.

This role is not focused on day-to-day development or pipeline implementation. Instead, the architect will provide technical leadership, oversee multiple Fabric initiatives, and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Define, own, and continuously evolve the enterprise Microsoft Fabric architecture and strategic roadmap.

- Prioritize and manage the Microsoft Fabric platform backlog across multiple workstreams and business initiatives.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to translate business priorities into architectural plans.

- Identify, assess, and drive the remediation of technical debt while promoting scalable and sustainable platform design.

- Establish architecture standards, governance models, design patterns, and best practices for Microsoft Fabric implementations.

- Coordinate across multiple project teams to manage technical dependencies, reduce delivery risks, and ensure solution consistency.

- Review solution designs and provide architectural guidance to delivery teams throughout project lifecycles.

- Drive platform optimization, scalability, security, performance, and cost-efficiency initiatives.

- Partner with enterprise architecture, security, infrastructure, and governance teams to ensure compliance with organizational standards.

- Evaluate new Microsoft Fabric capabilities and recommend adoption strategies aligned with business goals.

- Mentor technical teams and provide architectural leadership across the organization.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

- 12+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Analytics Platform Architecture.

- Proven experience leading enterprise-scale Microsoft Fabric implementations across multiple projects.

- Deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric architecture, including:

1. OneLake

2. Lakehouse

3. Data Warehouse

4. Data Factory

5. Data Engineering

6. Real-Time Intelligence

7. Power BI

- Strong understanding of Azure Data Platform services including Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, and related technologies.

- Experience defining enterprise architecture standards, governance frameworks, and platform operating models.

- Demonstrated experience creating technology roadmaps and managing platform backlogs.

- Strong knowledge of data modeling, data integration, analytics architecture, and modern data platform design.

- Experience identifying and resolving technical debt in large-scale enterprise environments.

- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.

- Proven ability to coordinate multiple teams, manage cross-project dependencies, and influence architectural decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate or equivalent Microsoft certifications.

- Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.

- Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and Azure DevOps.

- Knowledge of data governance, security, compliance, and FinOps principles.

- Experience leading distributed teams and working with global delivery models.
