Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Android Camera HAL / Framework Engineer with 57 years of hands-on experience in Automotive Infotainment/Cockpit Android Camera development and design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, integrate, and maintain Android Camera HAL and Camera Framework components for automotive platforms.
- Work on Android Camera Framework and platform-level camera features.
- Develop and customize camera solutions for Infotainment/Cockpit automotive systems.
- Work on Android Camera Suspend-to-RAM functionality and related platform integration.
- Analyze and resolve camera-related functional, performance, and stability issues.
- Debug issues across the Android Camera Framework, HAL, and underlying platform layers.
- Collaborate with system, hardware, BSP, and application teams for camera integration and issue resolution.
- Perform code reviews and contribute to software architecture and design decisions.
- Develop efficient, maintainable, and high-performance C++ code.
- Write and maintain unit tests for developed components.
- Analyze logs, traces, and system behavior to identify root causes and implement appropriate fixes.
Technical Skills:
- C++11, C++14 or later, STL, OOP, Design Patterns.
- Multi-threading, concurrency, memory management, performance optimization.
- Android Camera Framework, Camera HAL, Android platform integration.
- Build systems: CMake, Makefiles.
- Unit testing: Google Test (GTest).
- Version control: Git.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Android AOSP and platform-level development.
- Exposure to Android HAL architecture and BSP integration.
- Experience working with automotive camera hardware and camera pipelines.
- Knowledge of Android system debugging tools and techniques.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams involving hardware, BSP, middleware, and application development.
