Role Overview :
Looking for a hands-on Android Camera Engineer to enable and optimize camera solutions on Android Automotive (AAOS) platforms. The role involves Camera HAL, V4L2, EVS, sensor integration, debugging, and performance optimization for automotive camera use cases. The team's current camera work focuses on Android Camera HAL, V4L2-based camera pipelines, and virtualization-enabled camera architectures.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain Android Camera HAL (HAL3/AIDL).
- Integrate camera sensors, ISP, and V4L2 drivers on Android platforms.
- Support EVS, Camera2, and multi-camera automotive use cases.
- Debug camera issues across Application, Framework, HAL, and Kernel layers.
- Drive CTS/VTS compliance and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with BSP, multimedia, and platform teams for camera bring-up and productization.

Requirements :
- 4+ years of Android Camera development experience.
- Strong C/C++ and Embedded Linux fundamentals.
- Strong debugging skills using ADB, Logcat, and Linux tools.
Preferred Skills :
- AAOS experience.
- Automotive camera experience (RVC, SVC, DMS).
- Camera virtualization, Xen, or VirtIO exposure.
- Knowledge of ISP pipelines and multimedia frameworks.
