Android Camera Developer
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and develop camera solutions for Android-based automotive infotainment and cockpit systems.
- Develop and maintain camera components using C++ and Android Camera Framework.
- Work on Camera HAL development and integration.
- Implement and debug camera-related features across the Android camera stack.
- Work with Android Camera Suspend-to-RAM functionality.
- Optimize camera performance, memory utilization, and multi-threaded operations.
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex camera and software issues.
- Collaborate with system, platform, hardware, and application teams for camera integration.
- Develop unit tests and ensure code quality through appropriate testing practices.
- Participate in design discussions and contribute to software architecture and technical solutions.
- Use Git and standard build systems for development, integration, and release activities.
Required Technical Skills :
- Strong proficiency in C++11, C++14, or later and the STL.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
- Knowledge of design patterns and software architecture.
- Hands-on experience with multi-threading, memory management, and C++ performance optimization.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with Git or other version-control systems.
- Familiarity with CMake, Makefiles, or similar build systems.
- Experience with unit-testing frameworks such as Google Test.
- Hands-on experience in Camera HAL development.
- Strong knowledge of the Android Camera Framework.
- Experience with Android Camera Suspend-to-RAM.
- Experience in automotive Infotainment/Cockpit Camera Development and Design.
Preferred Candidate Profile :
- Strong understanding of the Android camera stack and camera pipeline.
- Experience working with automotive electronics and embedded Android systems.
- Good understanding of hardware-software integration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
