About the Role :

We are looking for a highly experienced Full Stack Engineer with strong expertise in Node.js, PostgreSQL, React, TypeScript, and AI integration.

You will architect and build the full-stack infrastructure that powers our AI-driven product including APIs, data pipelines, AI service integrations, responsive user interfaces, real-time chat interfaces, AI-generated content displays, and intelligent dashboards.

You will work across backend and frontend systems, collaborating with AI engineers and designers to build scalable, secure, high-performance, and user-friendly AI-powered applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Node.js (Express/Fastify/NestJS).

- Build high-quality, performant React applications with TypeScript.

- Architect and optimize PostgreSQL databases including schema design, indexing, and query optimization.

- Integrate AI/LLM services (OpenAI, Claude, etc.) into backend workflows, APIs, and frontend experiences.

- Build AI-centric UI components : chat interfaces, streaming responses, prompt builders, AI dashboards, and AI-generated content displays.

- Implement real-time features using WebSockets and Server-Sent Events (SSE) for LLM streaming.

- Build event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS/SNS.

- Implement pgvector or similar for AI-powered semantic search within PostgreSQL.

- Develop authentication, authorization, and security layers (OAuth2, JWT, RBAC).

- Integrate frontend applications with backend REST and GraphQL APIs.

- Collaborate with AI engineers to expose and operationalize AI model outputs via APIs and user interfaces.

- Collaborate with designers to implement pixel-perfect, accessible UI from Figma designs.

- Optimize application performance including code splitting, lazy loading, memoization, API performance, query optimization, and caching.

- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and performance at scale.

- Write comprehensive unit, integration, end-to-end, and load tests.

- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.

- Participate in design reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions.

- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.

- Contribute to frontend and backend best practices.

Key Skills & Requirements :

- Expert-level proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript with production experience.

- Expert proficiency in React.js with TypeScript and modern hooks.

- Deep expertise in PostgreSQL : complex queries, stored procedures, replication, pgvector.

- Strong knowledge of API design patterns : REST, GraphQL, gRPC.

- Experience integrating LLM APIs and building AI-augmented backend services.

- Experience building AI chat interfaces, streaming text UIs, and conversational UX patterns.

- Familiarity with AI/LLM SDK integration on the frontend (Vercel AI SDK, OpenAI streaming).

- Proficiency with ORMs/query builders : Prisma, TypeORM, Knex, or Sequelize.

- Familiarity with message queues : Kafka, RabbitMQ, BullMQ.

- Strong knowledge of state management : Redux Toolkit, Zustand, Jotai, or React Query.

- Proficiency with modern CSS : Tailwind CSS, CSS Modules, or Styled Components.

- Experience with component libraries : shadcn/ui, Material UI, Ant Design, or Radix UI.

- Knowledge of build tools : Vite, Webpack, Next.js.

- Cloud platform experience : AWS (Lambda, RDS, ECS, S3), GCP, or Azure.

- Strong understanding of microservices, CQRS, and event sourcing patterns.

- Experience with caching : Redis, Memcached, CDN-level caching strategies.

- Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

- Understanding of web performance : Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse optimization.

- Experience with testing frameworks : Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress/Playwright.

- Familiarity with Git workflows, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to Have :

- Experience with AI orchestration tools like LangChain or LlamaIndex from a backend perspective.

- Experience with Next.js App Router and server components.

- Familiarity with time-series databases or data warehousing (BigQuery, Redshift, ClickHouse).

- Knowledge of WebSockets, SSE for real-time AI streaming responses.

- Exposure to AI visualization tools (charts, graphs for model outputs, confidence scores).

- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA).

- Experience with design tools like Figma for developer handoff.

- Open-source contributions or prior fintech/healthtech/edtech domain experience.
