Job Overview :
We are looking for an experienced Analog Layout Engineer with strong expertise in full-custom analog and mixed-signal layout. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of analog layout fundamentals, including matching, symmetry, shielding, parasitic effects, and layout quality.
The candidate will work closely with circuit designers to translate circuit designs into high-quality layouts while ensuring compliance with design rules and performance requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Create full-custom layouts for analog and mixed-signal circuit blocks.
- Work closely with circuit designers to understand design requirements and layout constraints.
- Implement effective matching, symmetry, common-centroid, shielding, and guard-ring techniques.
- Ensure high-quality layout while considering circuit performance and manufacturability.
- Perform DRC and LVS checks and resolve layout-related violations.
- Analyze and minimize the impact of layout parasitics on circuit performance.
- Apply appropriate ESD and latch-up prevention techniques as per technology requirements.
- Support EM/IR analysis and address related layout issues.
- Debug and resolve layout issues in collaboration with circuit design and other engineering teams.
- Ensure layouts meet relevant foundry/process design rules and guidelines.
- Participate in layout reviews and incorporate feedback from circuit designers and verification teams.
- Maintain proper documentation and follow established layout methodologies and quality standards.
Required Skills :
- Strong hands-on experience in Analog Layout.
- Strong understanding of analog layout fundamentals and methodologies.
- Good knowledge of matching techniques, symmetry, common-centroid layout, shielding, guard rings, and dummy devices.
- Hands-on experience with Cadence Virtuoso XL.
- Experience with Calibre DRC/LVS.
- Good understanding of ESD and latch-up rules.
- Strong understanding of layout parasitics and their impact on circuit performance.
- Knowledge of EM/IR analysis.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
