About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced GCP Data Architect to design, build, and govern scalable enterprise data platforms on Google Cloud Platform. The role involves defining cloud data architecture, data lakes, data warehouses, data pipelines, data modelling, integration frameworks, and analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design end-to-end enterprise data architectures on Google Cloud Platform.

- Define scalable architectures for data lakes, data warehouses, analytical platforms, and data pipelines.

- Develop architecture patterns for batch, streaming, and near-real-time data processing.

- Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT data processing frameworks.

- Define data ingestion, transformation, storage, processing, and consumption layers.

- Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models.

- Optimize BigQuery queries, schemas, partitioning, clustering, and overall data warehouse performance.

- Design real-time data processing solutions using Pub/Sub and Dataflow.

- Define orchestration and workflow management strategies using Cloud Composer.

- Establish data quality, lineage, governance, security, and access-control standards.

- Lead cloud data migration and modernization initiatives.

- Conduct architecture reviews and ensure compliance with enterprise technology standards.

- Mentor data engineering teams and provide technical guidance on GCP architecture.

Tech Stack :

BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, Cloud Functions.

Required Skills :

- 10 - 12 years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Architecture.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code.

- Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices.

- Experience with Kafka or other streaming technologies.

- Exposure to dbt or modern data transformation frameworks.

- Relevant GCP certification is an advantage.

Educational Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
