Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled AIX/UNIX Administrator to join our infrastructure team in Pune. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management, optimization, and security of our mission-critical server environments. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams, database administrators, and application stakeholders to ensure high availability and peak performance of our enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage and maintain complex AIX and UNIX server environments to ensure 99.9% uptime for business-critical applications.

- Execute routine system patching, kernel updates, and firmware upgrades to mitigate security vulnerabilities.

- Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and hardware failures in collaboration with vendor support teams.

- Automate repetitive administrative tasks using shell scripting to improve operational efficiency.

- Design and implement disaster recovery protocols to safeguard enterprise data.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in managing AIX environments, including LPAR, VIO server configuration, and HMC management.

- Strong analytical capabilities to diagnose complex system issues and provide effective technical resolutions.

- Excellent communication skills to translate technical infrastructure requirements to non-technical stakeholders.

- A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 3 - 7 years of hands-on experience in high-availability UNIX/AIX environments and be comfortable working from our Pune office.
