Role Overview :

As the AI Research Head, you will spearhead our organizations journey into the next frontier of machine intelligence, operating from our Bangalore innovation hub. You will lead a high-caliber team of research scientists and engineers to bridge the gap between theoretical breakthroughs and scalable enterprise applications.

Your day-to-day involves setting the technical vision for our generative AI initiatives, collaborating closely with product leadership and C-suite stakeholders to align research roadmaps with business objectives. By driving advancements in LLMs and RAG architectures, you will directly influence how our customers interact with our platforms, ensuring our solutions remain at the cutting edge of the global AI landscape.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and execute the long-term AI research strategy to maintain our competitive advantage in the generative AI space.

- Mentor and develop a high-performing team of researchers, fostering a culture of intellectual curiosity and technical excellence.

- Architect and optimize RAG-based systems to improve the accuracy and relevance of AI-driven customer insights.

- Partner with cross-functional product and engineering leads to integrate complex AI models into production-grade software environments.

- Represent the organization at industry forums and academic circles to build thought leadership and attract top-tier research talent.

- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of AI projects, ensuring that research initiatives translate into measurable business outcomes and improved user experiences.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in designing and deploying Large Language Models (LLMs) and advanced natural language processing frameworks.

- Proven ability to lead large-scale research organizations, with a focus on leadership development and building high-impact technical teams.

- Strong proficiency in translating complex AI research into actionable business strategies that drive revenue and operational efficiency.

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence executive decision-making.

- Advanced academic background in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, preferably from a premier institution.

- High degree of adaptability to a hybrid work environment, with the ability to foster collaboration across distributed teams in Bangalore and beyond.

- Extensive experience spanning 14 - 20 years in research-heavy environments, with a track record of delivering innovative AI solutions at scale.
