We are seeking a highly experienced AI Engineering Leader with 1216 years of experience in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning to lead enterprise-scale AI initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in AI/ML algorithms, hands-on experience delivering AI products end-to-end, and proven leadership capabilities to manage large cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive innovation, architect scalable AI solutions, and collaborate with business leaders to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Candidates with prior experience in Financial Services GCCs or leading Indian banks will be strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and drive the organizations AI/ML roadmap aligned with business objectives.

- Lead multiple AI and machine learning initiatives from ideation to production deployment.

- Build scalable AI platforms, reusable ML frameworks, and enterprise AI capabilities.

- Mentor and lead a team of 2025 data scientists, ML engineers, and AI practitioners.

- Establish AI engineering best practices, governance standards, and model lifecycle management processes.

- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for AI-driven transformation.

- Design and architect scalable AI/ML solutions for enterprise-grade applications.

- Lead development of predictive models, recommendation systems, NLP solutions, computer vision applications, and generative AI use cases.

- Ensure production readiness of AI solutions including scalability, monitoring, explainability, and performance optimization.

- Drive MLOps adoption including CI/CD pipelines, model deployment automation, and monitoring frameworks.

- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative approaches to improve business performance.

- Apply advanced statistical, machine learning, and deep learning techniques to solve complex business problems.

- Develop and optimize machine learning algorithms using Python and associated AI/ML frameworks.

- Work with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets to generate actionable insights.

- Oversee feature engineering, model validation, hyperparameter tuning, and model interpretability processes.

- Ensure model governance, fairness, and compliance with enterprise security standards.

- Partner with business stakeholders, product teams, and technology leadership to define AI use cases and delivery priorities.

- Translate business requirements into scalable technical AI solutions.

- Drive Agile delivery methodologies and manage AI project execution timelines.

- Present AI strategies, insights, and technical recommendations to executive leadership.

- Manage vendor relationships, external partners, and research collaborations where required.

- Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI.

- Encourage innovation culture within the team through experimentation and research initiatives.

- Contribute to whitepapers, patents, research publications, or AI thought leadership initiatives.

- Evaluate and implement cutting-edge AI frameworks, tools, and cloud-native AI services.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 14+ years of experience in Data Science, AI, and Machine Learning.

- Strong expertise in supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms.

- Deep understanding of AI product development lifecycle and MLOps practices.

- Hands-on experience in Python and AI/ML libraries such as :

5. Pandas

6. NumPy

- Experience with NLP, Deep Learning, Predictive Analytics, and Generative AI solutions.

- Strong knowledge of model deployment, API integration, and scalable AI architectures.

- Experience with big data technologies and distributed computing frameworks is an advantage.

Cloud & Platform Skills :

- Experience with at least one cloud platform.

- Strongly preferred: AWS AI/ML ecosystem including :

- Knowledge of Azure or GCP AI services is a plus.

- Proven experience managing large AI/ML teams (2025 members).

- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic thinking abilities.

- Ability to manage multiple concurrent AI initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience with Agile methodologies and program management practices.

- Research publications or authored papers in AI/ML domains.

- Exposure to Responsible AI, Explainable AI, and AI Governance frameworks.
