Business Intelligence (BI) Lead

About the Role :

We're looking for a dynamic and experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Lead to spearhead our data strategy and analytical initiatives. Key Responsibilities :

As a BI Lead, you will :

- Lead BI Projects : Envision and plan projects, monitor progress, manage team contributions, and conduct regular project meetings to ensure successful delivery.

- Develop Analytics Deliverables : Contribute hands-on to the creation of various analytics deliverables, including reports, dashboards, data marts, and data warehouses. This also includes developing comprehensive documentation such as technical specifications, use cases, user guides, and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Ensure Data Accuracy & Quality : Validate deliverables against initial requirements and conduct thorough software testing to ensure accuracy and reliability.

- Manage Multiple Projects : Effectively oversee and manage one to three (or potentially four) projects concurrently, ensuring all deadlines and objectives are met.

- Contribute to Pre-Sales : Support pre-sales activities by understanding high-level requirements, designing strategic approaches, providing accurate estimations, and contributing to compelling proposals.

- Establish Best Practices : Identify and implement appropriate templates and approaches for deliverables and projects, fostering efficiency and consistency.

Qualifications & Skills :

To be successful in this role, you'll need :

- Proven Project Management Experience : Demonstrated experience successfully managing and contributing to multiple software development projects, with a strong preference for candidates who have led a team or a significant part of one.

- Deep BI Technical Expertise : In-depth knowledge of database design, SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services), and various reporting tools.

- Cloud Services Knowledge : Fair knowledge of cloud services such as SQL Azure, Dataverse, and SQL Data Warehouse.

- Requirements Gathering & Specification : Strong capability to gather solution requirements, build detailed functional and/or technical specifications, and effectively collaborate with customers and users.

- Educational Background : A BE/BTech/MCA or equivalent formal education/training with above-average academic scores.

- Advanced Data Understanding : A keen interest and broad understanding of advanced topics including data modeling, analytics architecture, and relevant business contexts (e., functional processes, sales, marketing).

- Technology Trend Awareness: Awareness of current technology trends, including competing products and their strengths, and the advantages of new versions.

- Mentorship & Team Development: Proven capability to mentor other team members, fostering strong work ethics, process awareness, and sensitivity to our value proposition.

- Effective Project Planning & Monitoring : Demonstrated ability to effectively plan and monitor project execution through detailed work breakdown, clear assignments, and active monitoring.

- Management Reporting Acumen : Understanding and appreciation of management reporting concepts, including team utilization, quality scores, and project variance.

- Strong Relationship Building : An ability to build deeper working relationships and mutual trust with team members across different groups and locations, as well as with current and prospective clients
