Job Description : Networking Technical Architect

ACL Digital is looking for a passionate and self-motivated Networking Technical Architect for its Networking and Cloud division.

The role involves defining and driving the development of virtualized Datacom and Telecom core products, with a focus on transforming traditional Telecom and IP networking products and applications using Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) principles.

The ideal candidate should possess strong hands-on technical expertise in IP networking, routing protocols, and Broadcom Jericho 2 SDK programming, along with an understanding of cloud networking, microservices, and containerization.

The role requires technical leadership, architectural design capabilities, and the ability to develop innovative solutions for global customers.

Key Responsibilities :

- Evaluate major system enhancements driven by evolving standards, customer requirements, partner needs, cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, and Azure, and developments in NFV and SDN ecosystems.

- Define overall system architecture and detailed functional specifications for new enhancements, with a focus on deployment in virtualized and cloud environments.

- Ensure integration of new solutions with existing systems and ecosystems.

- Monitor emerging technologies and market trends in IP networking, NFV, and SDN to support product management and product or solution strategies.

- Monitor standards body activities and contribute to industry initiatives where required, promoting innovative technical approaches.

- Support product management, presales, and marketing activities, including technical inputs for Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) responses.

- Provide system-level technical support during customer meetings and actively contribute to technical implementation activities.

- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance (QA) teams to drive the timely delivery and quality release of products and features.

- Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior team members.

- Evaluate and drive solutions for virtualized networking products using NFV, SDN, microservices, and containerization principles.

Required Skills and Technical Expertise :

IP Networking and Routing :

- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with IP networking concepts across Layers 3 - 7.

- In-depth knowledge of IP routing protocols, including OSPFv2/v3, BGP, IS-IS, and RIP.

- Understanding of routing protocol deployment and implementation.

- Knowledge of Segment Routing for IPv6 (SRv6).

Networking SDK and Software Development :

- Essential : Broadcom Jericho 2 SDK programming experience.

- Strong technical and hands-on expertise in networking product development.

- Experience with Datacom and Telecom core products and applications.

Cloud Networking and Virtualization :

- Understanding of Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) and Software-Defined Networking (SDN).

- Exposure to the virtualization of data-plane applications.

- Knowledge of cloud networking concepts and deployment in virtualized environments.

- Familiarity with microservices and containerization technologies.

- Understanding of integration with cloud providers, including AWS, GCP, and Azure.

Systems Engineering and Architecture :

- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles.

- Ability to define system architecture and detailed functional requirements.

- Experience in designing, developing, and deploying technical solutions in collaboration with QA teams.

- Ability to evaluate system enhancements and translate technical requirements into effective solutions.

Technical Leadership and Communication :

- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

- Excellent presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences, including executives, partners, and customers.

- Ability to provide technical guidance and support to engineering teams.

- Ability to quickly understand, evaluate, and adapt to new technologies and concepts.

- Innovative and analytical approach to solving complex technical challenges.

Education :

- BE/ME in Computer Science or Electronics and Communication Engineering is preferred
