We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to develop, debug, and optimize firmware for microcontroller-based systems.

The role involves low-level programming, RTOS-based application development, wireless connectivity integration, and embedded system design.

The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on coding expertise with system-level troubleshooting skills and the ability to collaborate directly with customers and cross-functional engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and debug embedded firmware using C and C++ for microcontroller-based platforms.

- Implement firmware for bare-metal systems and RTOS environments, including FreeRTOS and ThreadX.

- Develop and integrate wireless connectivity features using protocols such as BLE, Zigbee, Z-Wave, and RF.

- Analyze and resolve software defects using hardware debugging tools, including J-Link debuggers, logic analyzers, and digital oscilloscopes.

- Review hardware schematics and support PCB-level debugging to identify and resolve hardware-software integration issues.

- Contribute to embedded system architecture, feature planning, technical design discussions, and implementation decisions.

- Perform code reviews, static code analysis, and software quality checks to improve code reliability and maintainability.

- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including requirements specifications, design documents, test plans, and test cases.

- Manage multiple engineering assignments while ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

- Work closely with international customers, understand technical requirements, communicate solutions, and provide engineering support.

- Contribute to presales activities, technical proposals, and solution discussions when required.

- Support technical mentoring, onboarding, and skill development of junior engineers.

- Participate in technical interviews and candidate evaluations as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 7+ years of hands-on experience in Embedded C programming and firmware development.

- 6+ years of experience working with RTOS-based embedded systems and microcontrollers.

- Strong expertise in bare-metal programming, task management, synchronization, and real-time application development.

- Practical experience with microcontroller and microprocessor platforms such as PIC, ST, Atmel, NXP, or TI.

- Experience developing connectivity applications using BLE, Zigbee, Z-Wave, or other RF-based protocols.

- Proficiency in embedded debugging, fault isolation, and code-level troubleshooting using J-Link or similar tools.

- Working knowledge of static code analysis tools and Git-based version control.

- Familiarity with hardware schematics, PCB debugging, and electronic test equipment.

- Understanding of embedded software architecture, design principles, and the complete development lifecycle.

- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to software quality.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in customer-facing technical discussions.

- Prior experience interacting with customers in the US or Europe is strongly preferred.

Good to Have :

- Experience with C++ and object-oriented programming concepts.

- Exposure to embedded GUI development using Qt or similar frameworks.

- Experience with application development on RTOS-enabled microcontrollers.

- Ability to contribute to technical proposals, solution design, and presales discussions.

- Experience mentoring junior engineers and coordinating technical deliverables across multiple projects.

Core Competencies :

- Firmware development and embedded debugging.

- Real-time operating systems and microcontroller programming.

- Wireless connectivity and protocol integration.

- Embedded architecture and hardware-software integration.
