Job Summary :

As a Software Engineer at ACI, you will play a vital role in developing robust product solutions that drive secure, seamless, and efficient payment experiences for businesses and consumers alike.

As a team member of our engineering team, you will contribute your expertise to enhance our products and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities :

- Software Development : Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions that power our payment products.

- Write well-structured code that meets both functional and non-functional requirements.

- Technical Expertise : Leverage your deep understanding of software engineering principles, payment processing, and security protocols to contribute innovative ideas and solutions to complex technical challenges.

- Feature Enhancement : Collaborate closely with product owners and managers to translate product requirements into technical designs and implementations. Enhance existing features and contribute to the development of new ones.

Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with QA engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirements and delivery timelines.

- Effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical team members.

- Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution : Investigate and diagnose software defects and incidents, collaborating with the team to prevent future occurrences.

- Knowledge Sharing : Sharing your expertise and best practices to foster their professional growth. Contribute to internal knowledge sharing initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

- 3+ years of hands-on software development experience delivering enterprise-grade applications.

- Strong experience in payment systems or financial services domain.

- Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and scalable systems.

- Experience working with mid-sized engineering teams and contributing to team success.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

- Familiarity with Agile / Scrum development methodologies.

Technical Skills & Technology Stack :

- Programming Languages : Java (Primary) C / C++ Python (nice to have) Shell / Bash scripting

- Backend & Enterprise Technologies : Java EE / Spring / Spring Boot RESTful & SOAP Web Services

- Microservices architecture Multithreading and concurrency

- Databases : Oracle PostgreSQL MySQL SQL & PL/SQL NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra nice to have)

- Messaging & Integration : Kafka JMS / MQ (IBM MQ, ActiveMQ) Event-driven architectures

- Payment & Banking Technologies : ISO 8583 message formats Card payments (Credit/Debit) Real-time payments

- Transaction switching & authorization PCI-DSS compliance

- Payment security standards and protocols

- Security Encryption, hashing, and secure key management

- Monitoring & logging tools (Splunk, ELK nice to have)
