Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join our team and design, develop, and deploy scalable microservices-based applications. You will work on end-to-end development from backend services to micro-front-end interfaces, with strong DevOps practices and cloud deployment expertise.

We are looking for a Software Engineer who is proficient with building APIs using Java and cloud technologies. Your primary focus will be on developing sophisticated, scalable middleware platforms using RESTful / Serverless APIs to be consumed across 7-Eleven.

You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is important.

Key Responsibilities :

Backend Development :

- Design and develop RESTful microservices using Java and Spring Boot.

- Implement Spring Cloud components (Eureka, Gateway, Config Server).

- Build resilient distributed systems with circuit breakers and service mesh patterns.

- Optimize database performance and design data models.

- Define the technical requirements that are required to develop the product/feature.

- Architect and design the technical solution and implement the solution.

- Explore, assess and prototype new technologies to drive innovation and problem solving.

- Partner and collaborate with peers in other technology teams.

- Actively engage in product and technical discussions for feasibility and adherence to overall roadmaps and architectural strategy.

- Identify and analyze open source/market solutions.

Frontend Development :

- Develop micro-frontend architectures using modern JavaScript frameworks.

- Implement component-based UI development with React/Vue/Angular.

- Integrate frontend modules with backend microservices.

- Ensure responsive and accessible user interfaces.

DevOps & Cloud :

- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps/Jenkins.

- Containerize applications using Docker and manage multi-container deployments.

- Orchestrate and manage Kubernetes clusters on Azure AKS.

- Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform/ARM templates.

- Monitor application performance using Azure Monitor, Application Insights.

- Implement logging, tracing, and observability solutions.

Architecture & Best Practices :

- Design scalable and maintainable microservices architecture.

- Implement security best practices (OAuth2, JWT, Azure AD integration).

- Write unit and integration tests using JUnit, TestNG, and frontend testing frameworks.

- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.

Additional Responsibilities :

- Responsible for development of software products which will delight the customers.

- Self starter and deliver good quality with little oversight.

- Ensure adherence to agile practices and good software development practices.

- Deliver high quality product exceeding the build/deploy toll gates in terms of code quality and security.

Technical Requirements :

Must-Have Skills :

- 5 - 8 years of software development experience.

- Strong proficiency in Java (8+) and Spring Boot/Spring Cloud.

- Strong experience in Java application development and expertise in writing APIs using Java and Spring framework.

- Experience building microservices architecture.

- Hands-on with micro-frontend development (Module Federation, Single-SPA).

- Experience working with distributed applications, event driven, loosely coupled, scalable, self-healing components/microservices.

- Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration.

- Experience working with cloud technologies with exposure to at least one major cloud provider like AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenShift, Pivotal.

- Azure cloud services (AKS, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure SQL/PostgreSQL).

- Expertise in building solutions on top of AWS such as Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, S3 and others.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience with AWS tools and methodologies.

- Expertise in building RESTful APIs.

- CI/CD tools : Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.

- Strong experience in working with DevOps and Build pipelines.

- Database technologies : PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB.

- Expertise in SQL, NoSQL databases like MongoDB, DynamoDB.

- Familiarity with NoSQL database and modern caching/streaming technologies.

- Message brokers : Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Service Bus.

- Expertise in development of Unit Test cases and Testing frameworks and scripting.

- Experience working with modern development approaches (containerization, cloud, continuous delivery, micro-services, modular reactive web applications).

- Experience working with enterprise technology platforms.

- Strong experience with development methodologies such as Agile or SCRUM.

- Exposure to a wide range of technologies including enterprise application integration, database design and configuration, web applications, operating platforms, security and networking.
