Why This Role Exists :

We are looking for a Founding VP of Engineering to architect and build our technical engine from the ground up. This is a "Player-Coach" role where your ability to write production-grade code is as vital as your ability to design complex systems. You will lead the transition from a conceptual product to a high-concurrency, high-uptime platform. If you haven't recently been in the trenches of a debugger or a cloud console, this role is not for you.

What You'll Own :

- Architecture & Core Development : Design a microservices/modular monolith architecture capable of 99.99% uptime. You will own the initial codebase and technical debt management.

- Data & Security Infrastructure : Implement rigorous data privacy frameworks. You will own the implementation of Zero Trust architecture and end-to-end encryption protocols.

- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Own the cloud strategy (AWS/GCP/Azure). You will define the deployment patterns, auto-scaling groups, and multi-region failover strategies.

- Engineering Culture & Talent : Build an elite engineering pod. You will define the tech stack, documentation standards, and automated testing benchmarks (TDD/BDD).

- Integration Ecosystem : Architect the middleware required for high-volume WhatsApp/Mobile API integrations, ensuring message durability and low-latency delivery.

Required Technical Expertise :

- System Architecture : Deep knowledge of Distributed Consensus (Raft/Paxos), Event-Driven Architecture, and CQRS patterns.

- Concurrency & Performance : Expertise in multi-threading, asynchronous processing, and performance profiling to handle bursty traffic from WhatsApp-driven workflows.

- Backend Mastery : Expert proficiency in high-performance languages such as Go, Rust, or Java/Kotlin, with a focus on memory management and thread safety.

- Messaging & Data Streams : Practical experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Redis Streams for managing reliable, asynchronous messaging pipelines.

- Mobile-First Backend : Experience with WebSockets, gRPC, and specialized mobile backend patterns (Offline-first, Background Sync).

- Data Privacy (Health/Fintech) : Technical knowledge of PII masking, data tokenization, and compliance-as-code for GDPR/HIPAA/DPDP.
